Constipation refers to a major problem in digestive tract or it is included in the category of digestive disorders. It can be happened to every people does not matter how they old are. Constipation is a type of disorder in which people feel trouble in passing the stools and it is hard for them to empty the hard stools.

  • Cut a lemon into half and extract the juice of half lemon.
  • Now add it into a glass of warm water.
  • If you want, you can also add a pinch of salt in it otherwise honey is also a second option regarding this.
  • Drink that in the morning with an empty stomach.
  • You can also drink it in the evening, in case you forget it to drink in the morning.

2.  Fennel Seeds

Fennel seeds are proved to be in the problems related to digestive systems like indigestion, bloating of abdomen, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Fennel seeds actually work as a booster which boosts up the movement of muscles in the digestive tract.
  • Take one cup of fennel seeds and roast them slightly.
  • Grind them then mesh the mixture.
  • Store this fennel powder in a sealed jar.
  • Take half tsp of this powder every day with a glass of warm water.

3.  Figs

Figs are the uncommon thing for the people. Most of the people do not familiar with the figs. Figs act as a natural purgative and it is used in chronic diseases like constipation so people with those problems should include the figs in their daily diet routine. You can choose both fresh and dried figs. Make sure you eat them along with their skin on because the skin contains more fiber and calcium in it.
  • Take three almonds and dried figs.
  • Soak them in water for about three hours.
  • Peel off the skin of almonds and grind them both together.
  • Take this paste with one tbsp. of honey at the night before going to bed.

4.  Castor Oil

Castor is best for avoiding any disease related to the digestive system because of its extravagant stimulating and laxative nature that it helps in stimulating the small and large intestines due to which the bowel movement is finely improved with the time.
  • Take two tsp of castor oil with a mouthful on an empty stomach.
  • You can take it with a fruit juice, in case if you do not like its taste.
  • After few hours, you will gradually notice a huge difference in your condition.
  • Make sure you do not repeat the remedy for a long period of time because it can cause side effects.

5.  Honey

Honey has a great advantage behind the treatment of constipation because it acts as a mild laxative ingredient.
  • Take two tsp of honey for three times a day.
  • You can mix lemon juice with the honey for a good taste in a glass of warm water.
  • Drink this juice every morning on an empty stomach.

6.  Flax Seed

Flax seed is good to take while it is helpful in many disorders including the constipation. Flax seed contains medicinal properties with the tons of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids along with the laxative property which is found to be good in curing from mild to very serious cases of constipation.
  • Take one tbsp. of flax seed and mix it in a glass of warm water.
  • Now leave it for three hours and allow it to rest.
  • In the morning, drink this mixture daily so as to make your bowel movement better.
  • Alternatively, you can also add some ground flax seed with a glass of water.

7.  Grapes

Grapes is recommended in constipation because it contains insoluble fiber that are beneficial for producing regular bowel movements.
  • You can eat a small bowl of grapes or a glass of fresh grape juice daily.
  • Another option you can do is put 12 dry seedless grapes in milk.
  • Boil it for some minutes then drink the mixture in the evening time.
  • This remedy works great for children with the problem of constipation from the birth.

If you do not find the fresh grapes then you can soak some raisins in the water for two days. Eat the raisins along with water on an empty stomach in the morning time.

8.  Spinach

Spinach is also good for the settlement of digestive tract, especially it is powerful when you suffering from constipation. Raw spinach has some good benefits like it can cleanse, reconstruct and regenerate the entire system of digestive tract.
  • You should include spinach in your regular diet to avoid constipation. Either raw or cooked, whatever you like though.
  • At the time of severe constipation, mix one- half glass of raw spinach juice and one-half glass of water together.
  • Drink it daily, within few days, you will see the great relief from constipation.

9.  Molasses

Molasses is one of the best natural ingredients which is great in improving the bowel movements. Molasses contains high amount of calories.
  • Eat one tsp of blackstrap molasses before going to bed.
  • You can mix it with milk if you do not like its taste.
  • Another remedy is that you can mix three tbsp. of molasses with a similar quantity of peanut butter.
  • Eat this daily in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • Follow this remedy on the regular basis.

10.   Water & Fiber

  •  The first cause of constipation is the lake of water intake and fiber containing diet. Fiber is necessary to take in diet because it can easily bind with the water present in the intestine due to which the stool becomes soften and pass easily.
  • It is essential to eat high fiber contents like beans, carrots, potatoes, brown rice, wheat germ, prunes, fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Some essential fruits like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, peas, broccoli, peas, etc.
  • It is strictly recommended to drink enough fluids to retain the water in the intestine so the stool can pass easily and therefore rare chances of constipation result. Make sure to drink eight to ten glasses of water daily.
  • Put water in a copper vessel for whole night and drink it first in the morning. It will help in stimulation of bowel movements and show you great results within a few days.
  • You can also drink fresh vegetable juice and fruit juice which are healthy and full of essential vitamins and minerals. But remember to avoid alcoholic beverages and caffeine because these both substances cause dehydration and convert the mild condition into severe within a minute.
